Ajmer city was founded by Raja Ajay Pal Chauhan in the 7th Century A.D. How to Reach Ajmer

Ajmer is also the base for visiting Pushkar which is about 11 kms away from Ajmer. Pushkar is the abode of Lord Brahma, lying to its west with a temple and a picturesque lake. The Pushkar Lake is a holy spot for Hindus. During the month of October and November, devotes throng in large numbers here to take a dip in the sacred lake.
The bus stand in Ajmer is situated near the RTDC hotel Khadim. And the railway is further north and most of the hotels are west of the stations.
The Dargah of Sufi Saint Khwaja Moinuddin Chisti, located at the end of a dusty alley in the main market. Besides the Ajmer Sharif Dargah, there are many other significant historical and religious sites. The Adhai din ka Jhonpara mosque and Taragarh Fort are appealing historical monuments.
